DAY 4: Match vs ASD Roma (Serie B Youth team) - Rieti
Captain Adele Jackson walked the team out onto an intersting field in a small village just outside of Rome. The national anthem was played for both sides and the local town visited to watch the match, along with the Mayor. There were many chances at both ends of the field with ASD Roma scoring first. From there we started to relax our nerves and Valentina organised the midfield with Jaimie starting to attack. In a move that started down the right saw the Captain Adele score our first goal off the half volley to equalise just before half time 1-1.
With a few changes made in the second half the team settled and started to work well with each other - Livia and Chiara on the right started to combine and an overhead kick from Valentina resulted in a 2-1 lead. With Cooper and Dom starting to gain possession in defence we were able to start controlling the game and towards the end Mickalea scored an amazing header to win 3-1. The match was played in fantastic spirit and we celebrated with the team after at dinner. Some great friendships and memories were shared.
